A little list of Mother's Day gift ideas

With five days left until Mother's Day in the UK I thought I'd stop by with a few last minute gift ideas for that most special lady in your life. I have a range of gifts here for any budget. I normally like to get my mum a little gift and some flowers which I take over to her house in person. I truly think the most important gift you can give your mum on Mother's Day is time with you as a family. I always go home on Mother's Day to cook a Sunday lunch (sometimes with help/hindrance from my brothers who are worse cooks than me if that's possible!) and I always send my partner to visit his mum, either on the day or close to it. What do you do on Mother's Day? Are you a Mum, what would be you ideal way to spend the day?

A little relaxation

Sometimes what a mum needs is a little relaxation, one year when my mum was having a particularly stressful time I bought a selection of little goodies for a relaxing night in which went down a treat. These medium gift sets from Rituals are perfect for a bit of pampering and come with a shower foam, shower oil, body scrub and body cream and cost £28.50. My favourite has to be the Sakura Rituals Relaxing Gift Set which comes with the Cherry Blossom and Rice Milk scent. I love this floral musky scent it's absolutely gorgeous. You can buy these sets online with free UK shipping delivered in 2-5 working days, or you can buy from stores.

A little luxury

A luxury gift should be something your mum perhaps wouldn't buy herself. Since my youngest brother moved out of home my mum has got a new full time job and has started wearing make up on a daily basis. I know she loves the luxury end cosmetics but would never buy them herself. I think a Chanel lipstick is just the thing for a luxury Mother's Day Gift. The little bags they come in are beautiful, the tissue paper adds to the flare and the Chanel lipstick packaging is heavenly. I love the Rouge Allure Velvet matte lipsticks, they have some great shades for work and the click packaging is extra special. You can pick these up at Boots for £26 or order online for delivery or collect in store in the next day.

A little sweet treat

Chocolate is always going to be a winner, but it should be a special treat for your Mum on Mother's Day. When I want to buy chocolate for gift, Hotel Chocolat is one my favourite places to shop . They have lots of different gifts for Mother's Day, but the H Boxes, which they do for all occasions, have never let me down. You get a good selection of 14 chocolates for an affordable price of £12. If you order online you can add a card for free and a gift bag for £2.50. They have a range of delivery options from standard delivery at £3.95 to same day delivery from £5.95, or you can pick them up in store.

A little warmer

My Mum loves a good cuppa and nothing can be more warming than a lovely cup of loose leaf tea. Last year I bought my Mum a couple of beautiful packages of loose leaf tea from Whittards. I particularly like these beautiful packages that come with a silver plated infuser for £14. There are several delivery options, including next day delivery for £6.95 or you can collect in store.

A little home comfort

Pretty home accessories can always bring a smile to your mum's face, particularly if you think about their decor and something that might be useful. This Dandelion Utensil Holder from Victoria & Abigail is beautiful and would look really cute in my parent's kitchen, but I think could also be used as a really pretty flower vase - to go with the flowers I will also buy for Mother's day. At £18 I think this is a beautiful decorative piece at a really great price. Victoria & Abigail have lots of delivery options including 2-3 day standard or next day delivery.

A little help in the kitchen

As cliche as it sounds, if your mum loves cooking, a gift for the kitchen can be a great idea. To make it extra special I love the personalised kitchen utensils from The Crafty Giraffe. I bought a personalised spoon for my partner's sister-in-law for Christmas and it was beautiful. They have lots of personalised spoon options, including these Great Mum spoons for £4.25. The Crafty Giraffe, currently says that they need a 10 day lead in time for delivery but that you can contact them if you need it quicker.

I hope these ideas are helpful and you find something beautiful for your Mum. I'd love to hear what you are planning to do on Mother's day?
